Hero Converter is a privacy-first tool. All file conversion happens entirely in your browser — no files are ever uploaded to a server. We use a minimal set of cookies:

Essential Storage (No Cookies)

  • Theme preference — We store your dark/light mode choice in localStorage (not a cookie). This is strictly functional.
  • Cookie consent — Your consent preference is stored in localStorage so we don't show the banner again.

Analytics (No Cookies)

We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless by design. It collects no personal data and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR.

Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. If you accept cookies, Google may set cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. These cookies include:

  • __gads / __gpi — Used by Google to measure ad interactions and prevent the same ads from showing repeatedly.
  • IDE / DSID — Used by Google DoubleClick to register and report ad interactions.
